What are the indications of performing mitral valvotomy in a patient with MS?
- Mitral valve area less than 1.0 cm2
- Pulmonary arterial pressure greater than 50mmHg in symptomatic patients experiencing fatigue, dyspnea, or palpitations 
- Asymptomatic patients with moderate or severe MS
- Patients must have favorable mitral valve anatomy (Minimal commissural fusion, Pliable mitral valve leaflets, Minimal calcification of the mitral valve)
