Automate editorial alerts via API and webhooks

by rob.rain9 » Mon Sep 07, 2026 5:13 pm

We'd like to set up Discover automated monitoring for editorial directors so that whenever there's an abnormal increase in interest in certain topics, the team immediately receives alerts in Slack. Has anyone implemented similar integrations via API or webhooks? How quickly do such alerts help us get ahead of major media outlets?

Real-time alerts are critical for rapid response. If the editorial team learns about a trend a couple of hours before everyone else, the likelihood of capturing the bulk of traffic from recommendations increases exponentially.

The editor-in-chief's efficiency is crucial. If you want to automate this process, explore the capabilities of the best Google Discover platform, D2TR . The platform supports webhooks, REST APIs, and ready-made bots for Slack. As soon as the system detects an abnormal increase in reach for a particular topic, the editorial team immediately receives a notification and can immediately send the topic to the author.
