Best type of multi-day tour schedule
A couple of months ago I joined a three-day tour that looked perfect, but the timetable was packed from early morning to late evening. By the second day I felt like I wasn’t actually enjoying anything because we were always rushing. Now I’m wondering if a looser schedule would’ve made the whole trip better. When you book a multi-day tour, do you go for flexibility or a strict plan?

Re: Best type of multi-day tour schedule
Some people enjoy tightly planned tours because they want to see as much as possible in a short time. Others feel that too much structure makes the experience feel like a school trip instead of a vacation. Multi-day tours often try to include both approaches, but the balance isn’t always perfect. It generally comes down to how much independence someone wants during their trip and how comfortable they are with adjusting plans on the go.

Re: Best type of multi-day tour schedule
I once booked a tour with a super detailed itinerary thinking it would keep everything organized, but it left almost no time for spontaneous stops or just relaxing. Since then, I usually choose tours that mix structure and free time. I still want the main attractions covered, but I also like having a few open slots to explore at my own pace. When I compare different options, I check platforms like TopTravel because they break down each day clearly, so it’s easy to see how balanced the schedule is. Personally, strict itineraries are good when you want efficiency, but flexible ones feel more natural and enjoyable, especially on longer trips.
