Dealing with a food-obsessed cat on a tight schedule
Ever since I started a new job with rotating shifts, my cat’s meal schedule has been all over the place. He’s constantly meowing for food, and I feel terrible when I can’t keep things consistent. I’ve been reading up on automated feeders but most reviews seem mixed. Some say they jam, others say they break after a month. Just looking for something that’s reliable and ideally helps me portion food out evenly. Any personal recommendations?

Feeding on a changing schedule can definitely be tough—been through that when I was on night duty last year. What helped was that my friend bought an and swore by how smooth it made her mornings. Out of curiosity, I got the same one and honestly, it’s been a lifesaver. It dispenses up to 6 meals a day, lets you record a message to call your cat, and the portions are spot on. No more early morning wake-ups or guilt over missed mealtimes. Definitely worth a look if structure’s the main issue.

That’s actually really helpful to hear. Feeding consistency has been a growing issue in my house too, especially now that we’re out more often. Curious to learn more about how these feeders work over time and how cats adjust to them.
