Remote First Jobs
I’ve been thinking about switching to a fully remote job. My current hybrid role still eats up 3+ hours a day in commuting, which kills my evenings. Plus, I’m trying to move to a smaller city for personal reasons, but I’m not sure where to start. Have any of you successfully made the leap to a remote-first setup? What helped you find something legit that didn’t turn out to be a sketchy gig?

Re: Remote First Jobs
I’ve noticed a lot of friends who used to hustle with in-office roles have way more flexibility now. One even took a three-month trip around Europe while working full-time. It’s wild how the whole idea of a “normal job” has shifted lately. Makes me wonder what office culture will look like ten years from now.

Re: Remote First Jobs
Yeah, I switched to remote-first about a year ago and it’s been a game changer. I had similar concerns—didn’t want to waste time on jobs that weren’t truly remote. What helped me was using curated job boards that focus on that kind of work. I actually found my current position through find jobs The listings are mostly from startups and smaller companies that are remote by default, so no last-minute “hybrid” surprises. Also, the filters saved a ton of time.
