A Gift for My Grandma’s Birthday
I’ve been hunting for the perfect birthday gift for my grandmother, and I’ve thought about antique gems! She’s always had a thing for vintage jewelry and once told me about a beautiful ruby ring she saw years ago but never got. Now, I want to find something similar but with a bit more history. Do you have any recommendations for antique gems with great stories?

Re: A Gift for My Grandma’s Birthday
Oh, I love this idea so much because it reminds me of when I went on a mission to find an Edwardian sapphire brooch for my mum. She used to talk about her grandmother’s brooch that was lost during a move in the 70s, and I wanted to gift her something equally meaningful. I ended up diving into antique shops and forums for weeks until I stumbled on a piece with a tiny engraving from 1912—it turned out it was gifted as a wedding present back then. Maybe you could try browsing ? They’ve got some lovely vintage pieces, and I swear half the fun is reading the little backstories behind them. A ruby ring with a past could be an absolute gem (pun intended) for your grandma!
