Premium STL of FS-1 Hybrid Flying/Submarine Vehicle?
Okay, so this might be a long shot, but I’ve been searching for a proper 3D model of the FS-1 — you know, that hybrid craft from the old sci-fi shows that could fly and dive underwater. I grew up watching reruns of it with my dad, and recently I thought it’d be awesome to print one out as a sort of tribute project. But most of the files I’ve found online are either super basic or just don’t look quite right. What I’m after is a detailed STL version that’s actually printable without needing tons of cleanup. Ideally something premium-quality, maybe even with some interior detail. Anyone ever come across a file like that?

Ah yeah, I know exactly what you’re talking about. I had a similar itch a while back and ended up finding a version that really hit the mark. It’s got proper detailing and even supports lighting if you’re into that. The model I used was listed under , and it’s honestly one of the better FS-1 replicas I’ve seen for printing. I did mine with resin for the crisp lines, especially around the fins and windows, and it printed beautifully with minimal supports. You might want to give it a try if you’re aiming for something display-worthy.

Hah, I haven’t thought about the FS-1 in years! Just saw the thread title and got a flashback to those retro episodes. Funny how those old designs still spark so much creativity. I’m not printing subs myself right now, but it’s cool to see projects like these still getting love.
