I’ve faced the same challenge, and I definitely lean toward curated barbarian names over purely generated ones. Random generators are convenient, but they often feel shallow and lack cultural context, which makes it harder to build believable tribes or clans. Curated , especially those that explain their inspiration, really help with immersion. They give you a framework for language patterns, tribal traditions, and even regional rivalries, which makes your world feel alive.
