The basics of Japanese
Do you think it's a good idea to watch anime in Japanese to learn the basics? I've been planning to do something like that for a while.

It's entertaining, but I doubt you'll be able to learn something since you'll just be focused on the subtitles.

Using subtitles can actually help you understand everything what's happening, and I think that consuming content in a foreign language makes people improve their language skills a lot. You'll definitely learn and other basics, so I think it's worth giving a try, especially if you just like watching anime.
