It all depends on your work tasks and needs. A proxy is definitely needed if you are doing multi-accounting, which is common in marketing, parsing, arbitrage, or advertising in general. Good quality proxies that are not blacklisted, which you can try and buy on this , allow you to bypass regional blocks and keep your privacy. But I would not spend money on proxies if you are just using the internet for basic browsing. For personal use, a decent vpn is enough.
