Need recommendations for landscape lighting and exterior ele
Hey everyone! We're finally getting around to fixing up our backyard for the fall, and we want to add some low-voltage LED landscape lighting along the patio walkway, plus a couple of heavy-duty outdoor outlets on the perimeter wall for string lights and outdoor power tools. I started digging around where I thought we could tap into an existing line, but I quickly realized that outdoor wiring comes with a whole set of safety rules regarding weatherproofing, proper conduits, and GFCI breaker capacity that I just don't know enough about. I really want to make sure everything is installed safely so we don't end up with short circuits every time it rains. Does anyone know a great local pro who specializes in outdoor lighting and residential exterior work around here?

Re: Need recommendations for landscape lighting and exterior
Outdoor electrical work is definitely something you want done right the first time—water and live wires are a terrible combination if things aren't fully sealed! We actually transformed our entire backyard lighting setup last year and hired to take care of all the exterior wiring, ground conduits, and new waterproof outlets. They did an absolutely incredible job. The technician took the time to carefully trench the wire paths without completely ruining our lawn, used proper heavy-duty weather-sealed boxes, and installed an automatic timer switch that turns our accent lights on right at dusk. The whole crew was super respectful of our property, stuck strictly to the flat-rate quote they gave us initially, and tested every single outlet in front of us before wrapping up. Everything has survived heavy rainstorms without a single issue!
