Kittens With Kids – Safe?

by Teraw » Sun Apr 20, 2025 2:22 pm

Hey all! We’ve got two toddlers at home and we’re thinking of getting a kitten. I want to make sure it’s a safe and good experience for both the cat and the kids. Are there breeds that handle young children better than others?

Hi! I’ve got young kids too, and I found that Burmese kittens are incredibly gentle, social, and patient. They’re curious but never aggressive, which made them a great match for my little ones. I found a Burmese kitten for sale through KittensUp4Sale, and the breeder even shared tips on introducing the cat to kids safely. It took a few days of supervised play, but now they’re best buddies. So yes—it’s definitely doable with the right breed and approach!
