Cold winters

by Omnium » Tue Apr 29, 2025 8:27 pm

You know what totally shocked me at almost 30? Freezing weather. Who would’ve thought, right? Thing is, I always lived somewhere warm, where winters were super mild and it never got below zero. I actually moved to Seattle because the climate seemed pretty chill, but! No one warned me that one night in winter can be freezing enough to burst pipes, especially in an older house. So yeah, my pipe burst. Total nightmare. What do I even do?

Call a plumber, what else? I get that it’s a big deal for you, but for most people who live where winters are cold, this stuff’s normal. So just call a pro and stop stressing.

Good advice, but it would’ve been even better if you actually recommended a plumber. If you’re in Seattle, by the way, these guys work here https://bens.plumbing/services/water-line-repairs/frozen-pipes/ and what can I say? For me, they’re the best plumbing company I’ve used. Price-wise it’s totally fair too, especially since I used to pay more and get terrible quality work in return.
