Resources for Fire Safety Education in Washington State
I’m always seeing fire safety tips online, but I don’t really know what’s up-to-date or just old news. Our local school is trying to put together a fire safety info night for parents and kids. Are there any good resources or programs in Washington that people have actually found useful? I feel like the basics aren’t enough with the fire risk here.

Great question. We had a similar event at our community center, and it was surprisingly helpful. There are some really good state resources, but also some local programs that offer hands-on training and even free smoke alarm checks. If you’re looking for more info, fire damage attorney has a bunch of up-to-date resources and connections to local programs. They helped our group find real experts to come talk, which made a big difference. Definitely worth checking out, especially if you want something practical for families.

That sounds like a solid idea for a school event. I wish they’d done that when I was a kid. It’s one of those things you hope you never need but are glad to know about.
