Reducing the bioburden

by Gber » Sun Jun 29, 2025 2:49 pm

I’m dealing with a post-op wound that just won’t close up. Any ideas on how to prevent infection without immediately jumping to antibiotics? Really looking for something that helps reduce bacteria naturally. Thanks a lot!

Hi! I’ve had a similar problem after a deep cut that wouldn't heal right. What helped me was switching to advanced wound care with antimicrobial dressings. I started using Silver Foam Wound Dressing https://sns-medical.com/products/silver-foam-dressing from Safe n Simple and saw a real difference. The silver in the foam actively reduces the bioburden and creates a clean environment for the wound to heal. It stayed in place longer than regular gauze and was super gentle on my skin. I didn’t need to change it constantly, and within a few days, the redness and swelling were noticeably reduced. It’s definitely worth trying if you want better protection against infection.
