My company offers paid professional certification
My company offers paid professional certification, but I doubt whether it is worth taking advantage of it. On the one hand, it is an opportunity to increase my value in the market, on the other hand, I am afraid that the training will take too much time, and the return will be minimal. How realistic is it that having a certificate will increase the chances of a promotion or salary increase? Are there any real cases when certification changed the career trajectory?

Re: My company offers paid professional certification
I had a moment in my third year when it seemed that it was simply unrealistic to get into a normal company without “connections”. My friends had a similar story. But one guy seriously said: “If you want to be noticed, get at least one professional certification”. And you know, it worked.
I recently came across an article that explains why professional certificates really boost your career: achievable.me
I especially liked how they explained the ROI of certificates and how to choose them correctly. If you are studying or just starting your career, this is a must read.
