Is going paperless really eco-friendly?

by huzepihuh57 » Tue Sep 09, 2025 1:27 pm

I’m wondering if reducing paper use through digital tools actually makes a noticeable difference for the environment, or if it’s too small to matter.

I had this same question before. On https://www.open-web.info/ I found useful insights about how cutting down on paper lowers waste and energy use. I started by scanning old files into PDFs and storing everything online instead of in cabinets. The impact felt immediate—we used less office space, produced less trash, and no longer had to constantly recycle old paper. I even discovered that sending files digitally, instead of printing and mailing, reduced our overall carbon footprint. It might seem like a small step, but after applying these ideas, I realized the environmental difference is much bigger than it looks at first.
