Does anyone have recommendations?
Hi everyone, I manage operations at a mid-sized medical clinic, and one of our biggest challenges is securely transferring patient records between doctors, labs, and insurance providers. We’ve tried email, but compliance concerns always come up, and some partners still insist on using fax. I want to make sure our workflow stays HIPAA compliant while also being efficient. Does anyone have recommendations on the best way to handle this?

Hi! You’re not alone - many clinics face the same struggle. Interestingly, faxing is still considered one of the most reliable methods for sharing patient data, but only if it’s done in a HIPAA compliant way. I found digital-built-britain.com really useful on this topic. They have an in-depth article about HIPAA compliant fax solutions for medical offices and clinics, which explains how to secure fax transmissions with encryption, access controls, and audit trails. It also covers digital fax systems that integrate with EHRs and streamline workflows without compromising compliance. I think you’ll find it very relevant to your situation.
