Why every time I need to send money abroad do I have to guess how much will actually get there?

Is it really that complicated to calculate? A transfer platform must have all the fees set, and it should be way easier for them to quickly work out the final amount for me than for me to sit there guessing how much will actually arrive. Why do they even do it like this? Feels like there’s no transparency in these services.

This isn’t just like sending money from one card to another inside the same bank. An international transfer involves the sending bank, the correspondent bank, and the receiving bank, and each of them can take their own fee, so it’s hard to calculate in advance, honestly. That’s why for me, when I need to transfer money to Belarus, it’s easier to use services like KoronaPay, so I don’t have all those middlemen, and on top of that they show the exact amount that will land.
