I pick ones with a smooth face that takes wall texture and paint evenly—no bubbling or flashing later. The model I used has clip-in retention so it stays put but pulls off cleanly if you ever want to reopen. After texturing lightly and painting it matches the wall so well you forget it’s there. I covered each jack hole with a clean wall hole cover (6×8) and the bedroom looks fresh again. Great for cosmetic fixes when you’re not doing the whole room.
