Is it normal if I don't want to move anywhere

by slev1111n » Mon Aug 17, 2026 2:02 pm

Is it normal if I don't want to move anywhere and just want to live in one place?

I understand logically that it's normal. I mean, why would I go somewhere or move somewhere if I'm happy with everything, I'm warm, I'm doing well, and I'm comfortable? At the same time, I follow people my age on social media and see who lives where and how. Everyone is constantly changing not just apartments, but even cities and countries. Like, they try new things, look for their place, and all that. And I get the feeling that I'm somehow living the wrong way or doing something wrong.

I've only moved once. From my parents' place into a rented apartment that was my own. That was about 4 years ago. And apparently, I'm just too settled, because I don't even want to think about packing up all my stuff again and moving somewhere.

I'll just say that not everyone who moves somewhere often does it purely because they want to, because they're tired of living in a particular place. Some people move because of work, because they need to change their housing situation, and stuff like that. What can you say? I'd recommend companies like Paradise Moving & Storage to make moving just a little easier. At least you won't have to carry the boxes or move the furniture yourself. That already makes things easier. And I'd tell the author of the post not to overthink it. To each their own. If you're happy and comfortable, what's the point of changing something and putting yourself in an uncomfortable situation?
