I’ve finally found an email client that respects my time

by sellmyhousefastsd » Thu Sep 10, 2026 8:08 pm

I've been through Spark, Airmail, Newton, Edison, and a bunch of others. They all look nice but eventually feel like extra work. Then I tried Canary Mail. It's not perfect, but it's the first one that feels like it's on my side.
The unified inbox handles multiple Gmail and IMAP accounts without clutter. The AI runs locally, so my emails aren't being shipped off to some server somewhere. It summarizes threads, drafts replies, and pulls out action items so I don't have to dig through ten messages to find the one thing I need to do. Built-in PGP encryption, no ads, no data mining. Free tier is solid, paid is like three bucks a month.
If your inbox feels like a losing battle, give it a shot. Anyone else using it?
