My Audi A4 has been giving me grief for the past couple of weeks and I'm almost certain it's the battery. The start stop feature stopped working entirely which is honestly a relief but I know it's a sign something is off, and twice now the car has taken an extra second to crank when it's been sitting in the sun all day. I work in Business Bay so if I can get it sorted during lunch break that would be ideal. Does anyone know a quality 70Ah Varta battery specialist in Business Bay who can do a proper replacement and not just sell me whatever is on the shelf? I want someone who actually tests the alternator and the charging system first instead of just swapping the battery and sending me on my way. Also I keep reading mixed things about whether Audis need coding after a new battery goes in. Some people say yes it's mandatory, others say it's only for certain models. Mine is a 2017 A4 if that helps. Would love to hear from anyone who's had this done locally. I don't want to end up with a new battery that dies in six months because the car thinks it's still running the old one.
