Mobile bike repair for a commuter
I’ve been thinking about using a mobile mechanic because my bike has started developing several small issues at once. Nothing dramatic, but the rear brake needs attention, the gears aren’t shifting as smoothly as they used to, and I’ve noticed the chain making a strange noise. Normally I’d take it to a workshop, but with commuting five days a week that means finding time to drop it off and then somehow getting it back. I came across Tyred (tyred.io) when I was looking into mobile options, and the idea makes quite a lot of sense for a commuter. Their mechanics can come to your home, office or the place where the bike has broken down, with tools and parts for the job. They cover all 33 London boroughs inside the M25 and operate from 9am to midnight, seven days a week. I also noticed that Tyred deals with everything from punctures and brakes to gears, wheels and chains, so it isn’t just for one particular type of breakdown. That seems much easier than trying to get a bike across London when something has gone wrong.
