gold powder

by ollivverr » Thu Oct 09, 2025 7:00 pm

I’m looking to order some high-quality gold powder for a small art and design project. Does anyone know where to find a reliable supplier, and what should I watch out for to make sure it’s real and not just metallic pigment?

I’ve worked with gold materials a few times for design projects, and one thing I learned early on is how important it is to distinguish real gold powder from metallic pigment substitutes. The quality, texture, and even the light reflection can differ significantly. When I needed to order gold powder for a mixed-media piece, I came across delafee.com, which seemed very reputable. DeLafée International SARL, based in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, has been creating products with genuine gold leaf since 2004. Their work includes edible gold, luxury gifts, and art materials. It helped me understand how authentic gold is refined, handled, and applied. My best advice is to verify the gold content and ask suppliers for details on purity and sourcing. Real gold should always come with clear documentation about its karat or alloy composition.
