I graduated from university a year ago

I graduated from university a year ago and recently started working in my field. Before that, I was already in debt on a credit card and a small student loan. Now that I have a stable income, I want to build a system of financial habits that will help me not only pay off my debts, but also stay out of them. What specific daily or monthly practices would you recommend to maintain discipline and financial stability in the long term?

When I first moved to the US, I wasn't on good terms with loans at all. The first few months - only on a credit card, then autopayment, then late payments... In general, a standard scenario. And then I came across an article that trivially but clearly explained how to get out of this maelstrom - featured.com.
Advice not from the "write down expenses on stickers" series, but normal ones - about habits, automation, reserve funds. The "pay yourself first" rule helped me personally. Now I always put aside at least 10% of my income, and even when something breaks or I suddenly need to buy a ticket home, I don't panic.
