Why am I always unhappy with my life?

by Omnium » Mon Aug 25, 2025 12:18 pm

I feel like no matter what I do, I can’t enjoy it. It feels like I need to go somewhere, do something, eat something, drink something, but when I do it, it all feels pointless.

Have you tried talking to a psychologist? Though honestly, it sounds like an existential crisis, when you don’t know who you are, why you’re here, how you fit in, and a million other questions with no answers. I’ve been through that.

Yeah, it really does feel like a crisis sometimes. Honestly, therapy with a psychologist is amazing. I’m really happy I started seeing one, because we worked through a lot of difficulties and problems that were stopping me from living fully. Besides psychologists, there are also different resources now, like this mental health and wellbeing resource. It’s important to pick trusted ones with info from experts, but a lot of the articles on this resource really helped me understand myself better. A crisis period is never easy, but I just want you to know it ends. And sometimes it literally happens in a day. You wake up and suddenly realize life is totally different now.

It’s tough when life starts to feel like it has no flavor, no matter what you try. I’ve been in that headspace before, where even hobbies or going out didn’t bring much joy. What helped me was finding small routines that gave structure and a sense of progress. For me, exercise played a big role, not so much for the physical results but for the mental lift. I started using this review site https://madmuscles-review.com/workout-apps/peloton-app-review/ and it gave me clarity on whether the app could actually fit into my lifestyle. Turns out, the guided workouts and variety kept me engaged when nothing else did. It doesn’t magically fix everything, but having something consistent that feels like an achievement helped me move out of that numb cycle.
