Is duct cleaning really necessary for a single-family home?
I’ve been reading about duct cleaning, but I’m not sure if it’s worth it. We live in a regular single-family home, and I don’t want to waste money if it doesn’t really help. At the same time, I’ve noticed a lot of dust collecting on our furniture and a faint musty smell when the heater kicks on. Has anyone actually done duct cleaning and seen a noticeable difference?

It’s tricky because opinions online are split. Some say it’s essential, others say it’s a scam. A real experience would help me figure out if it’s something I should spend money on or just ignore.

We thought the same way until we finally tried ductwork cleaning for homes. Our house seemed fine on the surface, but once the cleaners started, we were shocked by how much debris and pet hair had built up. Afterward, the musty smell disappeared, and the air felt cleaner instantly. Even better, the dust on our furniture stayed away longer, and our heating system seemed to run more efficiently. It wasn’t just about cleanliness — it actually made our home feel healthier and more comfortable.
