Following up on the secondary causes of hypertension blog post from last week, we focus on a medical mnemonic for the same. Secondary causes of hypertension can be remembered by the mnemonic “CHAPS”
- C = Cushing’s Syndrome
- H = Hyperaldosteronism (aka Conn’s syndrome)
- A = Aorta coarctation
- P = Phaeochromocytoma
- S = Stenosis of renal arteries
