How Long Do Lawn Mower Belts Last?
I’ve had my mower for a couple of years now, and I’ve never changed the belt. It still seems to be working fine, but I’m wondering how long they typically last. Should I replace it as a precaution, or just wait until it breaks? What are the signs that a belt is wearing out?

Re: How Long Do Lawn Mower Belts Last?
Lawn mower belts typically last between 3 to 5 years, depending on usage and maintenance. If you notice fraying, cracks, or a stretched belt that doesn't sit snugly on the pulleys, it's time for a replacement. Keeping the belt clean and free of debris will help extend its lifespan. Investing in a durable lawn mower belts can also reduce wear and tear over time. Waiting until a belt completely fails can leave you stuck mid-mow, so it's better to replace it at the first signs of wear. Checking the belt regularly and keeping pulleys in good condition will ensure smooth operation.
