Do subscription-based fitness apps even work?

by slev1111n » Tue Jul 29, 2025 12:39 pm

Hate it when you pay for something but there’s barely any content, the workouts are boring and repetitive, and it feels like you totally wasted your money? That’s what I’m honestly most afraid of. Well, not even afraid, I just don’t wanna waste time and money for nothing.

It all depends on the app, as usual. There’s tons of fitness helpers out there now. Maybe some of your friends or someone you know uses one? You could just ask for a rec. Personal experience is probably the best thing to go on.

I didn’t have anyone to recommend any apps to me either, and yeah, I also hate when you pay (and they want you to pay for like a whole month or even a year right away) and then you get nothing useful, and they won’t even give refunds. Right now I’m using https://madmuscles.com/. I think it’s a pretty solid option. I wouldn’t say the workouts are super personalized. They’re kinda standard and general, but at least there’s a lot of them, which is nice.
