What’s an underdog?

by slev1111n » Fri Aug 01, 2025 12:45 pm

I’ve come across this word a few times since I started betting on sports. Sounds kinda funny to me. But I guess it’s some kind of term?

If you see words that get used a lot in betting, and you think they might be terms and not just slang or whatever, it’s better to just google it and read up. Might turn out to be something important and helpful for you.

Totally agree, I always do that myself, even though I’ve been betting for a while. Still, sometimes I come across stuff that makes me question or wonder. From what I get, an underdog is basically the one no one bets on. I guess newbies might be confused because underdogs often have really high odds. I’ve noticed that on Mostbet too. If you don’t get how odds work, you might mess up big time. But if the underdog actually wins, and your bet was on them, the outcome is insane.
