When should you use water spray vs dry install method?
Quick question — when installing vinyl on glass, I’ve seen some people spray water and others just stick it straight on. Is one better than the other? I’ve got a one-way vision film and don’t want to mess it up.

That totally depends on the type of windowfilm you’re using. For cling films or those meant to be repositioned (like AR04), wet install with water and a few drops of soap works best. But for perforated or one-way vision, dry install is the way to go. It’s all outlined clearly on https://applyityourself.com, and knowing that saved me a lot of mess when I did my shop windows last year.

That explains why mine slid around like crazy when I tried water with perforated film. Should’ve checked first! Good tip.
