Could the cold make the plastic crack?
Good day! I need to remove my rear bumper but it’s winter and freezing outside. Could the cold make the plastic crack?

Hello! Yes, freezing temperatures make plastic brittle and that’s risky during bumper removal. On the site they specifically mention how temperature matters. In cold weather it’s better to warm up the garage or the car a bit before starting. Otherwise clips and edges can snap. The same goes for extreme heat, where plastic can warp. Timing and conditions are really important, and following their advice can save you from costly mistakes.
