The whole renovation went off plan

by slev1111n » Mon Oct 13, 2025 12:00 pm

I guess the idea of doing the renovation myself wasn’t the best plan. Honestly, I thought renovation would be easier than it turned out to be. I’m working on the bathroom, and I only planned to replace a few things, but it turned out I have to change the pipes and a bunch of plumbing too.

The idea of doing renovation yourself always seems like a bad one to me. If it’s not too late, I’d really recommend finding professionals and letting them handle it.

For me, it usually depends on how complicated the renovation is. And also on the task I have. If I just need to update something, paint, or put up wallpaper, I can handle that myself and even enjoy it. But if I need to deal with plumbing stuff, I’m definitely not getting into that. I just checked gutter installation cost, and it’s actually cheaper for me to hire plumbers right away because everything is already so expensive. I don’t want to be that guy who ends up paying twice.
