Can working memory be trained like a muscle?
I always thought memory was just something you were born with, but a friend told me you can actually train it. I’m curious—has anyone here tried any memory training techniques or tools that actually worked over time?

Interesting question—I’m skeptical too. Curious what others will say.

I had the same assumption until I began experimenting with exercises meant to target memory. Turns out, https://memoryos.com/article/learning-more-about-working-memory-examples-and-its-application-in-daily-life working memory can be improved with specific training—much like physical fitness. It involves repetition, mental associations, and even guided apps that simulate memory challenges. One approach I liked was using memory palaces, where you assign information to locations in your mind. Practicing this not only helped with memorizing things but also improved how I process complex instructions at work. It’s not an instant fix, but with consistency, it absolutely strengthens your cognitive endurance.
